The Office of the Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs announces a request for proposals for courses offered in an online format. The Office of the Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs is offering grants in the amount of $1500 for the development of new online courses in all disciplines.

Courses should be online versions of courses already approved by the University Curriculum Committee that have not yet been offered online.

Participants in this grant program should have at a minimum completed training in the CougarView (WebCT Vista 8) instructional platform. Proposed courses should initially receive approval from the department chair and dean of the college where the course is offered, and should be evaluated using the attached Quality Matters Rubric (signed by faculty member proposing the course and by the department chair). Both faculty member proposing the course and the chair should sign the Quality Matters Assessment. Please submit course proposals  the Request for Proposal Response Form. Proposals should be typed, double-space in Times New Roman type and should address all ten items listed. Proposals should be accompanied by a completed course assessment (Quality Matters Rubric) signed by the faculty member preparing the proposal and by department chair to Tom Hackett, Distance Learning Committee Chair at Jordan Hall 103 by 5:00 P.M., September 18, 2009
