Standard Class Meeting Time

These meeting times are based on 3-credit-hour courses and a standard of approximately 2250 minutes of class time.

Fall and Spring Semesters

Monday-Wednesday-Friday (MWF) and Monday-Wednesday (MW) Classes

Morning class periods of fifty (50) minutes in length, meeting three days per week, and afternoon/night class period of seventy-five (75) minutes in length, meeting Monday and Wednesday only, as follows. NOTE: This schedule makes Friday afternoons available for scheduling of weekend course offerings.

Tuesday and Thursday (TR) Classes

Class periods of seventy-five (75) minutes in length, as follows. No classes between 12:15 and 1:30 p.m. in order to allow time for student activities.

Classes meeting one time per week

One-day/night-per-week classes meet for 15 meetings (14 meetings for 160 minutes each meeting and a 2-hour final exam during the 15th meeting). Classes should be scheduled to  begin and end at standard MWF/MW or TR meeting times. Examples follow:

Short-term classes

Half-term classes meet for a standard of approximately 2250 minutes, based on a 3-credit-hour course, with a final examination on the last meeting day. Half-term 3-credit-hour courses that meet twice a week, meet for 15 meetings (14 meetings for 160 minutes each meeting and a 2-hour final exam during the 15th meeting). Classes should be scheduled to begin and end at standard MWF/MW or TR meeting times.

Classes for other short terms should meet for a standard of approximately 2250 minutes, based on a 3-credit-hour course, with a final examination on the last meeting day. Classes should be scheduled to begin and end at standard MWF/MW or TR meeting times.
